We spent our week in a new village - Salingalpa. This was by far the CLEANEST
school we had ever visited. The principal was very gracious. We had about 15 ladies cleaning up behind us constantly.
The children were wonderful and the villagers extremely friendly and grateful.
Our team got to work quickly after setting up our clinics in the various class rooms
which the local school was kind enough to donate for our cause.

In the three days we were able to open the clinics, we saw 2755
patients and over 14,000 prescriptions were dispensed. The optometry ministry gave away over 1100 pairs of glasses, readers,
and sunglasses. Our dental ministry was only able to do extractions this year since our drill was broken. But the dentists
still saw 251 patients and performed 409 extractions. The veterinarians saw over 1200 head of livestock. But most importantly
- 278 people were brought closer to Jesus through professions of faith!

New Cryo Therapy This year, our team physician Melissa Miskell began a
new program. Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death for Nicaraguan women ages 17 - 40. Dr. Miskell an OB/GYN
performed over a 150 cervical exams and using nitrous oxide was able to freeze and kill lesions which can grow into cancer
in over 60% of the patients she saw.
So what does it take to become a team member? The answer is quite simple!
